Wisdom Teeth Removal

Most people will require an extraction of a tooth sometime during their life. It’s not a procedure patients look forward to, but it certainly doesn’t need to be feared or put off. Many patients undergoing orthodontic treatment may require extractions as part of the overall treatment while some teens and young adults will require extraction of wisdom teeth as they come of age.

Here at East Bentleigh Dental Group we employ the services of Dr Paul Aulakh, BDSc. Hons (Melb), a dedicated professional who has special interest in areas of implantology and complex extractions. He has many years of experience in this field and has acquired skills to complete these procedures with ease and in doing so minimising patients anxiety.

Extraction of wisdom teeth is in most cases a routine procedure and can be completed by Dr Paul Aulakh in two visits. Dr Aulakh prefers to see all his patients for an initial consultation and examination when he will discuss your options, risks and expected outcome in detail. All four wisdom teeth can then be removed at your next appointment. We recommend patients take a day or two off school or work to aid in the healing process.

The average cost of extracting all four wisdom teeth is $1400, inclusive of consultation. When an OPG x-ray is required, an additional fee of $90 will apply.
